Adventure in Redang Island Mac 2009 Part 1

I have been away for a couple of weeks. Some adventure it was during. Until today still... ahahha... penat giler! tapi memang adventure habisss!!!

The adventure in Redang started by going into a small boat before boarding a bigger boat at the Merang Jetty... there was NOOOO PROPER JETTY! Actually there was one... but then maybe it is for other resorts. Yang peliknya... setiap resort ada bot sendiri and maybe ada jetty sendiri... sooo resort lain x bley guna... kedekut btol... (but then when you think about it, it is kind of logic... I build the jetty with my own money... so only I can use it...)

It will be good for the local government to build a proper jetty ( just like they have in Langkawi) so that all the tourists, local AND international will have a proper jetty facilities. Sibuk dengan promotion ZOOM Malaysia lah, apa lah... tapi... facilities semuanya xda... bayangkan tunggu bot kat bawah pokok aja... di bawah sinaran matahari yang terik! belum lagi pergi redang, dah mula jadi hitam legam. Facilities pun xda... yang nak menunaikan sebarang hajat kecil dan besar... saboorrrr jelah... (actually ada satu tandas awam kat situ, tapi lokasinya hanya di tempat letak kenderaan, di tempat kami tunggu bot untuk resort yang kami pilih ni...XDAAAAAAA PUN... TANDAS XDA.... JETTY PUN XDA... APALAHHH...)

The journey took us about 1hour boat ride. I guess it depends on the speed of the boat. The faster the boat , then the faster you arrive... the journey should take you about 1-1 1/2hours lah... sooo if you are not THAT adventurous... easily get sea sick... then no need to take the boat. just pay extra to fly straight to Redang. I believe that only one particular resort offer this facility of flying. U can use it and straight stay at their resort or, just fly with their plane and once you reached redang, take a boat to your resort... (but still a boat... muakakkaka)

then when you arrive at the island, another adventure awaits you! The boat cannot be that close to the shore (as you can guess... NO JETTY!!! AGAIN!!!)... Some of the staff is already waiting... with a MOBILE STAIRS!!! WOODEN STAIRS... !!!! AIYAAKKKKKKKKKKKKK... dahlah ombak kuat memukul bot ke kanan dan ke kiri. It was not stable... however, obviously nooooo choice... have to use the wooden mobile stairs and You just have to go into the water straight... and since I am quite cute, the sea level was reaching my chest... adoi... basah dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... macam meredah swimming pool untuk ke seberang sana...

and once we reached the seashore... alll soaking wet... there was a few wheel barrow ready... WHEEL BARROWWW!!! For our luggages and the staff will push the WHEEL BARROW to the resort... alamakkk... (my dad always use wheel barrow like it back in the village... to move dung and dirt and things like that... ) imagine how I felt when I saw the wheel barrow... alamakkkkk!!!

and since there was a lot of luggage... it filled up 2 wheelbarrows... and the staff of the resort pushed one and my brother pushed one... adoi!

at least the good part is, when we reached the resort, we had a glass of cooling orange drink as the welcome drink... (I took 2 since it was soooo hot... and the water was sooooo cold and nice...) At least the 1st impression of the service is kind of okayyy.. better than the boat ride...
